Tricyclic antidepressant overdose

• TCA examples: amitriptyline, clomipramine, dosulepin, imipramine, lofepramine and nortriptyline

Overdose sign and symptoms:

• convulsions
• altered mental status
• widening QRS
• dry hot skin
• dilated pupils

Give sodium bicarbonate - cardioprotective + lowers amount of active form of the drug
