- Digastric anterior belly supplied by CN V3
- Digastric posterior belly supplied by CN VII
- Both insert onto intermediate tendon
- Lateral rectus inv. abducens CN VI
- Origin of rectus muscles common tendinous ring
- Origin of oblique muscles sphenoid (sup) and orbital floor (inf)
- Superior oblique - depresses, abducts and medially rotates
- Inferior oblique - elevates, abducts and laterally rotates
