Haemochromatosis

Inborn error of iron metabolism causing accumulation in:

• Liver \(\rightarrow\) cirrhosis
• Pancreas \(\rightarrow\) diabetes
• Skin \(\rightarrow\) pigmentation
• Joints \(\rightarrow\) arthritis
• Heart \(\rightarrow\) cardiomyopathy
• Treat with removal of blood to return iron to normal
