Gilbert Syndrome

Gilbert's syndrome inherited metabolic disorder with mild and intermittent elevation of unconjugated (indirect) bilirubin levels, due to defective conjugating enzymes in the liver.

• Increased during periods of physical or psychological stress
• Gilbert's syndrome does not progress to cause chronic liver disease, and life expectancy is normal.
