Acute - signs and symptoms consistent with COVID-19 for up to 4 weeks
Ongoing symptomatic - Symptoms 4-12 weeks after an infection
Post-COVID-19 syndrome - Signs and symptoms that develop during or after an infection consistent with COVID-19, continue for more than 12 weeks and are not explained by an alternative diagosis
Long COVID - Signs and symptoms that develop during or after an infection consistent with COVID-19 continue for more than 4 weeks, and are not explained by an alternative diagnosis
Complications:
- ARDS - leading cause of death
- VTE
- Cardiovascular - heart failure, MI
- AKI
- Acute liver injury
- Sepsis
