Drug Class	Calcium channel blocker
Mechanism	Interfere with the inward movement of calcium ions into cells relaxation of vascular smooth muscle ↓ myocardial contractility ↓ conduction at AV node, ↑ refractory period ↓ afterload and HR - ↓ oxygen consumption
Typical Dose	5mg to up 10mg
Indications	Angina HTN
Contra-indications	Cardiogenic shock Significant aortic stenosis Unstable angina
Side-effects	Ankle oedema, abdominal pain, nausea
Interactions	P450 stuff
